Welcome back to Hitty Bee’s Classroom! In Doll Painting 3 with Hitty Anne I will show a third photo series with one more set of features on a Hitty Anne resin model. This tutorial is mostly photos, so please refer to Doll Painting 1, Doll Painting 2, and Hitty Bee’s Paints and Supplies for more tips and techniques, as well as my materials list.
1: Paint the iris and pupil.
2: Add color to the lips and cheeks.
3: Use diluted brown to shade the mouth line and under the lower lip. Use the same brown, a little darker, to paint eyeline, eyelid line, and eyebrows. I painted feathered eyebrows on this Hitty.
4: Use very diluted white to add a little white around the iris, for the sclera.
5: Paint thin lines around the iris and darken the eyebrows with black. Add a little white sparkle to give her a bright-eyed look.
6: Varnish the face, then paint her hair. Paint the hairline, then fill in the back.
7: Paint forehead curls, and varnish all of your work.
